Agadoo Agadoo! Black Lace Reunite For Classic Hit's 40th Anniversary

The 80s pop duo are back together for a one-off performance of their iconic single.

Blackpool's finest, Black Lace, are reuniting for a one-off performance of their classic hit Agadoo to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The duo, made up of Colin Gibb and Alan Barton, will take to the stage at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool on 5th November 2022. The performance will be the first time the pair have performed together in over a decade.

"We're so excited to be getting back together to perform Agadoo again," said Gibb. "It's such a special song to us and our fans, and we can't wait to see everyone at the Empress Ballroom."

Barton added: "It's going to be a great night. We've got a few surprises up our sleeves, so make sure you come down and join us."

Agadoo was released in 1984 and became a huge hit around the world, reaching number one in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The song is still popular today and is often played at weddings, parties, and sporting events.

Black Lace have released a number of other hits over the years, including Superman, Do the Conga, and I Am the Music Man. The duo have also starred in several films and television shows.

The Empress Ballroom is a historic venue that has hosted some of the biggest names in music, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie. The ballroom is also known for its famous Wurlitzer organ, which is one of the largest in the world.
