David Lynch Announces New Project With Cryptic Video Tease
Return to Social Media
David Lynch has returned to social media with a brief but cryptic video teasing the announcement of a new project on June 5. The video, posted on Lynch's YouTube channel, features the text "6.5.23" and a series of images that include a red curtain, a telephone, and a flickering light.
Collaborations and Filmology
Lynch, who is known for his surreal and enigmatic films, including "Eraserhead," "Blue Velvet," and "Mulholland Drive," has been relatively quiet on social media in recent years. His last post on Twitter was in 2020, when he shared a message about the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a rare interview with Matthew Sweet, Lynch discussed his long-time collaboration with composer Angelo Badalamenti, who has worked on many of Lynch's films and television projects. Lynch also recently joined the cast of Steven Spielberg's upcoming drama "The Fabelmans," which is set for release in November.
