Following their departure from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after Avengers: Endgame, the Russo Brothers have officially returned to direct the next two Avengers films, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
A Surprise Announcement
The announcement came as a surprise to fans, as it was widely believed that the Russo Brothers had moved on from the MCU. However, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed the news during the studio's panel at Comic-Con 2023.
The Russo Brothers expressed their excitement to return to the MCU. "We're thrilled to be back," said Joe Russo. "We've always loved these characters, and we're eager to continue the story of the MCU with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars."
